At FPUK, we aim to become a champion of sustainability. The emphasis we place on the planet, people, and places that we influence resonates through our Environmental, Social and Governance commitments. The thought process and cultural identity that we have established lies at the core of FPUK’s Sustainability Strategy and which is further illustrated through our ‘Three Pillars of Sustainability’.

Understanding and respecting the relationship that we have with our world has become essential. The issue of climate change threatens our cities, water, food, and the very way we live our daily lives. It is important to identify the effective solutions that are required to address this ever-growing issue.

“... to build a resilient and sustainable business.”

Our strategy

in progress

We established our sustainability strategy in 2018 which set out our targets and priorities up until 2030. The recent release of our Roadmap is in conjunction with this approach. The strategy mainly revolves around three pillars - Acting Progressively, Consuming Responsibly and Focusing on People. The strategy aligned with these pillars forms a multi-disciplinary approach that recognises 13 Environmental, Social and Governance focal areas.
Our commitments are as follows:
•  Net Zero Carbon across the whole Portfolio by 2050
•  Net Zero Carbon across all operational areas of control by 2030
•  61% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions, and a 46% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030 from our 2019/20 baseline.
•  We have committed to aligning with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), publishing Science Based-Targets (SBTs).
•  We have aligned ourselves with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and have supported the Agenda for Sustainable Development since 2017.

Reflection on the past

Vision of our future

Our Sustainability Pillars

Acting progressively

Sustainability’s evolution is unprecedented. We must be adaptable, durable, and flexible in our response now and in the future. Our strategy is an effective instrument that changes the way we think about sustainable development and enables us to implement the necessary focus sustainability requires. Through this, we are able to evolve so that we can continually meet the ever-changing expectations of a carbon neutral world.

Consuming responsibly

A large aspect of sustainability focuses around what we consume, not just as a company, but as individuals. Fostering a culture of not just caring for and respecting our natural environment but enhancing and improving it for future generations is a key element to our sustainability strategy at Frasers. Responsibly minimising waste, enhancing our energy efficiency and creating a green supply chain are all integral aspects on our path to net zero carbon.

Focusing on people

Sustainable development is no longer merely about building green. They must promote biodiversity and a sense of choice and purpose for the communities who use them. We aim to guarantee a prosperous present, and future, across our portfolio that delivers, resiliency, economic prosperity, place, affordability, beauty, and autonomy for our communities.
